Good weekend in Aachen

Just back from an excellent trip to Aachen, driving down and back was slow because it seems that all of Belgium's roads are being repaired!
We meet with lots of friends and on Friday visited the NATO base there which was very interesting

 

Saturday was drives in the countryside with lunch in a very nice lakeside restaurant.

Dinner on Saturday evening was in Tivoli, the local football stadium - I even managed to stand in the middle of the pitch (never been on a large football pitch before!)
Sunday's drive back to the tunnel was again slow but we finally got the train back to they UK
